If there’s a Holy Grail of Greek desserts, it has to be galaktoboureko. This dessert has to be in every Greeks top 3 of all desserts. If you’re not Greek, you may have never heard of it – but if you ever see it on the menu at a Greek restaurant or bakery, get it!

What It Is

Galaktoboureko is made up of semolina custard inside of phyllo dough. It’s typically made in a pan and cut into pieces.
