Greece Demands Parthenon Marbles From Britain as Part of Brexit Deal

As part of the free trade deal between the European Union and Britain, Greece is demanding that the once stolen 5th century BC marbles be returned to Greece.

“The parties should address issues relating to the return or restitution of unlawfully removed cultural objects to their country of origin,” said the text that will be signed off by EU governments next week.

The document, due to be finalized on Wednesday, sets the parameters for the EU’s position for the negotiations which start next month.
