Easter Rocket War on the Island of Chios

One of the coolest things a out Easter in Greece has to be the rocket war that takes place on the island of Chios at midnight, the night before Easter. Two rival villages shoot rockets at each other’s church, trying to hit the bell to ring it. This tradition has been going on for over 200 years! Check out some videos below.
